What an Evidence File shows

One company report, four AI summaries of it, and every claim in each summary checked against the report. Each summary was written to plant one thing: nothing, a contradiction, a true claim the report never makes, and a missing fact.

Everything here is invented. Ridgeway Analytics, its founder and its figures do not exist. The verdicts are the ones each summary was built to produce, and the digests are computed from the texts on this page.

The first page of every Evidence File: each output with both of its results, and the claim counts behind them.

What every output is checked against

Ridgeway Analytics FY24 (synthetic). Nine statements, then a reference line and a retrieval date, which a certificate treats as apparatus rather than as claims.

Omissions

Completeness is measured on the fourth output only in this sample, so the planted omission is the one that shows. In a real Evidence File it is measured on every output unless you agree otherwise.

Method

How each verdict is reached

  • Each output is broken into the claims it makes.
  • Two independent models check every claim against the source. A claim they disagree on is marked disputed and left for a person.
  • A supported or contradicted verdict quotes the passage of the source it rests on.
  • Completeness lists the material facts in the source and reports any the output left out, separately from accuracy.
Limits

What a certificate does not certify

  • It certifies the output against this source. It does not certify that the source is right, or which system wrote the output.
  • “No contradictions found” is not a statement that the output is true.
  • This sample is synthetic and is not in the certificate registry, so it will not verify. A real certificate carries an AEF reference that does.
